Lake City
Lake City History
Opened in 1963, the Lake City Dick’s Drive-In was Seattle’s fourth store—bringing the city’s favorite burgers, fries, and shakes further north. Its bright orange sign quickly became a beacon for commuters and a hangout for fans from Wedgwood to Shoreline. Decades later, it’s still serving handmade shakes, fresh-cut fries, and real beef burgers—just the way Dick’s has since 1954.
