The Game Changer Award

Nominated by her friend, Kathleen, she shared what makes Allie stand out among her coaching peers:

“Allie is a coach that inspires girls to be brave and bold, and to challenge them to step out of their comfort zone… The sport needs more women coaches that girls can look up to. Allie herself has accomplished so much, including winning two gold medals in the Olympics representing the USWNT Deaf Team. She coaches the team, but also meets 1:1 with each player every 2 months to review film and has each girl work on 3 specific goals that they want to accomplish…I often see her smiling from the bench and giving a thumbs up to the player that achieved their specific goals. We could be losing 10 to zero, but Allie is still smiling because she celebrates each player doing something good. Losing means a growing opportunity and never punitive.”

Soccer Mom MVP Award

It was not easy narrowing things down to five finalists—much less naming one winner! So we named three winners, two runners-up, and will be sending a little treat to all our nominees.

Read the stories of our 2026 Soccer Mom MVP Winners: Congratulations to LaEisha, Kathryn, and Amy!

From coordinating schedules, carpools, travel, meals, events, fundraising, and team support to helping players through injuries and setbacks, each nominee gives far more than the basics while building real community around the game. The common thread is clear: these are the people who keep showing up through bad weather, traffic, packed calendars, and everyday chaos because they care deeply about their kids, their teams, and the soccer community.

GAME READY MURALS: On Display @ Kent & Federal Way

Leading up to the 2026 soccer celebrations arriving in the Puget Sound region, Dick’s Drive-In launched a community-driven art initiative in 2025 that brought large-scale murals to its Kent and Federal Way restaurants. Artists from across the Pacific Northwest and beyond submitted original concepts inspired by soccer culture, local identity, and the shared experience of gathering over the Drive-In’s classic burgers, fries, and shakes. After internal voting narrowed the field, the public chose the winners.

The winning murals by ARPO and Joe Palec were installed as colorful tributes to the region’s creativity and game-day energy—the first nod to the fun that, at the time, was still 5-months out. The installations are still on display and will continue to be through the end of July 2026, at least. The murals give locals and visitors a way to experience the excitement outside the stadium, turning what are otherwise easily-ignored walls into destinations for photos, conversation, connection, and opportunities for appreciating impressive artistry over dinner and dessert at the Drive-In.
